Hey pet owners,

I’m thinking about getting a dedicated car mat for my small pet to protect the interior from fur and claw damage. While browsing online, I came across a few options that seem good, but I’d love to hear some real feedback from other pet owners. Has anyone tried or used Small Pet Car Mats? What do you think? What features are most important to you—like waterproofing, ease of cleaning, or added safety?

Looking forward to your suggestions!

I haven’t tried it but my car is equipped with Tuxmats. It has a smooth, easily cleanable surface and covers almost all of the carpet. Next, a seat cover in the hammock style. Although hair still gets through the barriers, a week of dog hair can be undone in ten minutes with a Lilly brush. Because auto carpeting is designed to catch hair, most other upholstered surfaces only require one vacuum pass if they are covered.

I just grabbed a random pet mat for my Model 3 on Amazon. My son actually ordered it, so I can't tell you exactly which one it is. But honestly, they all probably come from the same place in China.

Just search for "Tesla Model 3 pet mat" on Amazon and find one that's not too expensive and has good reviews. They're only like $50, and Amazon makes it easy to return stuff, so it's not a big deal if you don't like it.

I’ve used a pet car mat before, and it definitely helps with fur and scratches! Waterproofing and easy cleaning are key and I’d also recommend something with a non-slip backing for safety.
