No Power to OBD2 Connector

Just picked up a salvaged 2021 Model Y and I'm running into some trouble trying to hook up a scan tool to the OBD2 port. I've tried a few different cables, but I can't seem to get any power or data connection going. The car’s sitting at 50% battery and there's a constant 12V supply, so I’m not sure what’s up.

I’ve heard this can happen with Teslas, especially salvage ones. First, check if the 12V system is functioning correctly, even if the car shows power, a weak or intermittent 12V connection might prevent the OBD2 port from working. Also, keep in mind that Teslas use a CAN bus system that doesn’t always respond to standard OBD2 tools. You might need a Tesla-specific adapter or app to get data. If the wiring near the OBD2 port looks fine, your best bet might be to try a tool designed for Teslas.
