I just added some strip lights to my wife’s 2022 Model 3 to jazz it up a bit. Hooked them up across the dashboard and on the armrest. But now the footwell lights are totally MIA. Any clue what might’ve caused that? I was super careful with the wiring, so I’m stumped!

So, it might be the fact the ambient lighting is off. Also, I don't doubt your care with the wiring, but checking it for a second time wouldn't be wrong. Another thing you can do is to check if there are any settings related to the interior lights that might have been changed during the process.

They sound awesome, but I’d bet the issue is with the power draw. Depending on how you tapped into the wiring, the footwell lights might’ve been affected. Try disconnecting the strip lights temporarily and see if the footwell lights come back, if they do, you might need a different power source or a splitter for better balance.

When it happened to me, I had to wait like a few hours. Tesla uses mosfets instead of fuses to open up circuits when there is a high current draw.
