So I tried these aftermarket tail lights on my Model 3, but they’re not playing nice. Everything else works - signals, parking lights, reverse - no issues there. But the brake light? Nope, nada. The seller was stumped too, refunded me, and said to keep 'em. Back to my original tail lights for now. Anybody else had this issue with aftermarket lights and found a fix? Really loving these designs and wanna get 'em working somehow.

What year model is your Model 3? If it's a 2023 model, it should have amber turn signals and a 4-pin taillight plug, it's possible there might be a compatibility issue causing the brake lights to malfunction.

Since your original brake lights function correctly, the issue likely lies with the aftermarket tail lights. Either the lights themselves are defective, or there's a wiring problem within the assembly.

To troubleshoot, you could try applying 12V power directly to the connector pins of the new tail light to see if the brake light function works. If it does, you'll need to wire it to the existing 3rd brake light circuit to trigger the brake light.

However, this is a complex task that might require electrical expertise. It's recommended to consult a qualified automotive technician for professional assistance.

AFAIK, there’s this pigtail kit on eBay! It's made to make those newer Model 3 taillights work with older ones.
