Hello everyone!
I have heard an incredibly awful noise from the rear brakes, like a metal scrapping while backing into the driveway (to plug in the car). I suspected it was because of a rock or debris lodged between the inside surface of the brake rotor and the metallic dust shield. But nothing there. So, what could it be?

It might be a stone, yes, but check in the wear groove of the brake pad. If not, then it could be the brake pads have worn down to the indicator.

Hey, guys! The rear brakes look good. Even so, Tesla wants to check it. I will come with an update. Thanks for the replies.

Something similar happened to me last May. If the noise started suddenly, like you said, it might be a small stone stuck in the brakes. But if the sound gradually got worse, it could be worn brake pads or something else entirely.
