I ran into a problem while fixing a squeaky steering issue on my 2019 Model 3 SR+. The bolt connecting the overhead link to the steering knuckle got its threads crushed during removal, and a replacement bolt also struggled with alignment on the left side.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Used a stainless steel replacement bolt temporarily, but it corroded quickly.
Installed an aftermarket overhead link with a new bolt, but the thread issue persisted.
Current Plan:
I’m considering tapping or reaming the threads to fix the alignment issue and using a coated bolt with plumber’s tape to prevent future corrosion.

Has anyone dealt with similar alignment or corrosion problems?

I think you are overcomplicating things. Why would you forge the alignment? It is more like you are trying to "kill" the car. I would go more on the route of more frequent maintenance or adjustments.

I'd suggest visiting a Tesla dealership and taking a close look at the wheels on all their new cars. You might find some that have similar markings to the ones you're concerned about. This could help you understand if those markings are normal or if there's something specific to your vehicle.
