Ants crawling all over my car! I'm considering using Ortho Home Defense, but I'm worried about potential damage to the paint. Has anyone tried this or have any other effective methods for deterring ants from vehicles?

I've had awesome results with Terro ant baits! All you’ve gotta do is follow the little ants to figure out where they’re coming in, then drop a few baits along the trail. At first, you might see more ants (don’t freak out, it’s normal), but before long, the numbers will start to drop and eventually, the ants will be gone for good.

Ortho Home Defense is great for the house, but I’d be cautious with it near your car, it could potentially harm the paint. I used a mix of vinegar and water sprayed around the tires and parking area, and it worked like a charm. For inside, vacuuming thoroughly and leaving a few ant bait traps helped get rid of them without using anything harsh.

Forget about spraying your car with chemicals to boot those ants. it's way smarter to target the ground around it. Going crazy on the car could mess up the paint, and that's not cool. Focus on the spots where the ants are likely marching from, so you can handle the problem without any unnecessary damage to your car.

I am curious, though, what attracts them to your car. I mean, there must be a reason why the ants are crawling over it.

Do you know borax can kill ants? It works as a poison when ants carry it back to their colony. When they ingest or bring it to the queen, it disrupts their digestive systems ultimately killing them.
