I recently finished a long-distance road journey in my Tesla Model S. It was a little strange that the car's GPS system had me charging to 100% twice this time. I want to know whether there's something more going on or if this is just battery conditioning. I'm still regularly getting 200+ miles of range in spite of the strange charging patterns! Considering all of the terrifying tales of battery degeneration that are already available, this is actually a good news.

Does anyone else know anything about this?

It might be battery conditioning, but hey, 200+ miles is solid. Maybe your car just wanted to feel “extra full” for the journey..

Regularly 200+ miles? That's impressive. Could you share like what are your general charging and driving habits? Also, do you fully charge the car often?
