I've been having a strange issue with my 2002 M3. Six times now, the car's fan has started running at full blast, just like it does when supercharging. The problem is, it doesn't stop. After a while, the car seems to go into a low-power mode, accelerating slowly and losing regenerative braking. It also won't supercharge.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what might be causing it?

I haven't experienced it. What I would do is check the coolant bottle (you can find it inside the frunk, after you remove the rearmost plastic). The coolant bottle is the one with blue fluid. Check the levels. If it is empty or low, then there might be a leak somewhere. Don't do anything yet. Don't refill it. Take it to Tesla, and they will have to do a deep inspection. This is all I can help yo now. Good luck.

That’s a total load of crap! When did you buy your car? If it’s still under warranty, file a service request immediately. This is definitely not normal behavior for an EV.

That doesn't seem right and it should have been able to supercharge. I wonder if the battery might have been overheating during hot days? Maybe you should schedule a service appointment at a Tesla Service Center the next time it happens.
